The Apedale development allowed us to create four rooms larger than the tradional inn which is of course restricted by its original architecture. The name derives from a small mysterious Dale to the north of Carperby.

These rooms are ideal for those requiring peace and quiet extra space and a higher standard of comfort.  An appealing feature of the rooms in the Apedale wing is their large walk in power showers, heated towel rails, and additional storage space ideal for those planning a longer stay.  Although bright and new, with pleasant views too, this modern new wing is fully integrated with the Wheatsheaf and is accessible from the original main staircase.
